Q: Who is Jarrod Sievert?
Jarrod Sievert "is a complex individual." Sorry, I love "The Jerk." I was born in Cleveland on September 21, 1978. I've moved all over Northeast Ohio. When I was in High School I finally landed in Canton, where I now work full-time as a Radiology Aide for a local hospital. I was introduced to webcomics by Brian Clevinger of "8-Bit Theater." We worked on a book, "Disposable Parts", together and we were even featured in "City of Heroes" for a short time.
Q: Did you go to School?
Yep. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Design and Animation Engineering Technology from Kent State University.
Q: What does that mean?
I can draw pretty pictures on a computer.
Q: How do you draw your comic?
I own a tablet PC which helps me sketch everything out in Photoshop. From there I move to Adobe Illustrator. I draw in every color as a shape. I never saw Illustrator as much of a outlining program and I feel that black lines tend to make colors look less brilliant so I leave them out. From there I go back to Photoshop lay everything out and type in the words. I do this the same way every other webcomic does it, so I'll skip that step. That is how I do a comic.
Q: What's the story?
The story of my life.
Q: Do you accept fan art?
Yes I do. That's how I got my start.
Q: Is that what you really believe about (the Economy, Religion, Etc.)?
Yes, yes I do.
